Responsibilities:Professor Raúl Rubio (Languages) is seeking a graduate student to serve as a research assistant for the spring-summer term 2025 (4-6 hours per week), with the possibility of extending to the next academic year. The student will engage with ongoing work related to publication(s). Related to Creative Writing (in Spanish), Cuba, Latin America & Latinx Studies, Performance, Ethnic & Gender Studies. Must be authorized to begin work immediately.Responsibilities include:
• Overseeing editorial drafting of book proposals, drafts of chapters or creative texts, correspondence with contributors, etc.• Managing drafts from contributors and working with the editors of each book project.• Procuring materials from libraries, archives, or inter-library loan
• Helping with project management, database creation, web development
• Managing visual materials, copyright compliance, and reproduction requests
• Preparing manuscripts and correspondence with presses, or other venues.
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between SENS-UAW, Local 7902 and the University.

Hourly Rate: $30.16 per hour
Part-time: 4-6 hours a week
