Qualifications:You!Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a landscape environmentCandidates that have a diploma/certificate in horticulture or related field is an assetCertificate of qualification- Horticultural Technician and/or Canadian Certified Horticultural Technician (CNLA) – Landscape Maintenance is an assetCandidates with a valid Ontario Driver’s license (class G/G2) with a clean abstractPlant identification skills and knowledge of cultural practices related to maintenance of herbaceous and woody plants an assetFamiliar with Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the requirements for industrial establishmentsCandidates that are able to meet the physical requirements of the job including: bending, lifting, utilizing hand tools and working in various weather conditionsIndividuals that are able to drive a small vehicle and have experience in the safe use of small power equipment (hedge trimmer, blower, etc.)Individuals that are able to provide their own CSA approved safety footwearAvailability to work Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm; weekends on shift rotation from 6am until 11am during the contract period
