Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a talented and experienced Landscape Architectural Technologist/Landscape Construction Inspector to join our Edmonton Landscape Architecture Studios, working on diverse private and private projects throughout Alberta as well as providing support to our other offices in the west region. As part of this team, you will help and support the design of high quality and sustainable public and private spaces. You will be working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, involved in all phases of projects from schematic design through to contract administration. Your role will be critical in ensuring that designs are brought to life with creative technical solutions and through site inspections and reviews.

Role accountabilities:

Work with Landscape Architects to prepare conceptual designs and assist throughout design development and construction documentation Collaborate with other disciplines and subconsultants including planning, architectural and engineering technologists Work cooperatively as part of a team and collaboratively with peers and clients, internally and externally. Ensure project deliverables comply with local standards and contract requirements Prepare construction deliverables including drawings, specifications and technical reports using CAD and LandFX  Support and complete quantity take-offs, cost estimates and tender forms Monitor and inspect construction works as well as complete field reviews and contract administration tasks Meet project deadlines Establish and maintain good working relationships with contractors Support the project manager and landscape architect through contributing to design solutions

Qualifications & Experience:

Technical Diploma or Applied Degree in Landscape Architectural Technology or related field  Experience in preparing working drawings and construction details Minimum of 5 years landscape design and construction implementation experience Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects Proficiency in AutoCAD – skills in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Civil 3D, GIS or Revit are an asset  Excellent teamwork and communication skills (written and verbal) Solid understanding of grading, plant materials, drainage, and landscape site construction and delivery techniques Knowledge of local municipal standards in Edmonton region – comply with local standards, requirements and documentation Comfortable taking ownership of small to mid-scale projects under supervision Valid Alberta drivers’ licence and ability to travel to job sites

The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $99,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
