Job Title: Landscape ArchitectJob Description We are seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Architect to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for working on a wide range of projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, and institutional developments. The role includes direct mentorship of junior staff, developing design drawings, conducting environmental assessments, and preparing plans for agency approval. The position also involves regular meetings with clients and agencies, requiring a strong understanding of development design and the local review and approval processes. Responsibilities + Mentor and guide junior staff in design development. + Develop design drawings for a variety of projects. + Conduct environmental assessments of sites and prepare plans for agency approval. + Participate in regular meetings with clients and agencies. + Understand and navigate the development design review and approval processes within local agencies. Essential Skills + At least 3-5 years of experience in landscape design using software such as Photoshop, Adobe, and Sketchup. + Proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D and Photoshop. + Degree in Landscape Architecture or Engineering. + On the cusp of obtaining PLA or RLA certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture. + Experience in land development, site development, and land planning. + Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. Work Environment The position is based in Montgomery Village, Maryland. Our team provides Civil Engineering, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, and Land Planning services throughout Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia. We are on the verge of celebrating a 45-year history of successful projects in both the private and public sectors, including urban designs, streetscapes, commercial, multi-use, institutional projects, parks and recreation, and high-end residential homes. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
