Our Dublin Masterplanning & Landscape Architecture practice is growing, We have a diverse workload of high-profile projects across Ireland, ranging in scale from environmental infrastructure design, major transportation projects through to restoration, town centre regeneration, streetscape design and green buildings. We are linked through a global Arup network. We regularly work with our international studios including a range of UK offices, Madrid, Poland and more. 

We are an integrated team of landscape designers, landscape planners, Masterplanners & Urban Designers with projects including green infrastructure strategies, concept design, masterplanning, detailed design, landscape management, visualisations and 3D modelling , landscape assessment and strategy and LVIA. 

We work side by side with a wide range of Arup’s other specialist disciplines including ecology, environmental specialists, climate specialists, transport, streets focused engineering teams, town planning, digital technology, engineering, cost consulting and project management.

The Opportunity

We’re currently looking for a Landscape Architect / Urban Designer with a strong interest in landscape planning to join our team based in our offices in Dublin. 

You will be working alongside an unrivalled community of experts, who will support and nurture your growth from the outset. As a Landscape Architect at Arup, you will:

Demonstrate the following qualifications, attributes, and skills as well as an exceptional report writing ability, and an interest in planning and assessment as part of an integrated design process.

We’re looking for the following qualifications, attributes and skills:

Essential Skills and Knowledge: 

A degree level qualification in Landscape Architecture or Urban Design. CMLI / ILI accreditation or working towards accreditation and with good knowledge of professional ethics and ethical framework. Confident and articulate written communication with strong report writing skills. Demonstrable experience of landscape / environmental work (typically 4-5 years) Strong team working skills. A strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; experience of using GIS is desirable.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

Specific sector experience in areas such as infrastructure, commercial development, urban regeneration, residential, education, health, energy, historic buildings and landscape planning strategic policy; Experience of contributing to written documents in support of planning, such as ES chapters, preparing LVIAs, sensitivity studies and landscape/ townscape character assessments. Experience of and an interest in stakeholder engagement Working in multi-disciplinary teams on infrastructure, environment and transport projects Previous track record in building relationships with clients. Experience of managing projects and fee budgets, or a desire to develop the necessary skills.
