Located in Charlotte, NC, our office is expanding, and we need a passionate Project Engineer to join our innovative Land Development and Planning and Design team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate within a diverse team across various disciplines, providing exposure to a wide array of projects ranging in size and complexity. Our client roster includes leaders in higher education, healthcare, retail, mixed-use, residential, multifamily, industrial, and hospitality sectors.

Responsibilities
Develop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects.Complete Due Diligence Reports and preliminary cost estimates for various sites and project types.Complete work within budget and prior to deadlines.Lead the development of preliminary layouts, design concepts, and detailed design drawings, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards and codes.Utilize, instruct, and delegate application usage for generating project-specific drawings, reports, or other technical deliverables Manage quality control procedures and recommend QC process enhancements Train and mentor junior staff on technical aspects and policiesSkills and Attributes
Willingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills.Knowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulationsExperience with client and review agency interactions. Innovative design skills to develop solutions to complex projects.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsExhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential.Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering or related degree5+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects PE licensure preferredProficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office, Excel.Proficient with hydrology and hydraulic modelling software such as HydroCad, PondPack, StormCAD and/or Sanitary & Sewer AnalysisProficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater managementExperience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reportsWe are VHB!
