Join us and you’ll be part of a family that’s dedicated to innovation and excellence and dedicated to nourishing millions of families around the world. **What You'll Work On** + Responsibleforsamplingandtesting raw materials and commodities, as to comply withquality proceduresand assuring specifications and quality guidelines are met + Implementing the effectiveness of thequality systemincluding maintaining commodity lot trace file labels for and Kosher schedule A updates, and new ingredients for Kosher schedule Bcompliance + Properlysamplingingredients andpackaging materials, including certified supplier quarterly and annual monitoring as applicable + Analysisof the ingredients and physicalevaluationof thepackaging materialsas defined bytestingprocedures + Monitoring the schedule and releasing ingredients andpackaging materials + Minortroubleshootingoflab equipmentwith some assistance + Recognize and report method procedure problems out of specification conditions, or other anomalies to be brought to the attention ofsupervision + Input of quality data into quality/inventorycomputer systemsincludingMITS, AMAPS, andLIMS + Placing commodities on hold where called, maintaining a hold list and pursuing finaldispositionof commodities on hold through destruction or release based on justification and approval + Submitting Supplier Event Notifications to Supplier QA, and to appropriate Plant personnel + Routine interactions withinventoryplanning, materials managementreceiving areas, and plant QualityEngineers, to assure ingredients andpackaging materialsare evaluated, released to meet theproductionschedule, and to report defects + Updating plant procedures to meet new policies and accurately reflect practices You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures. **Shift** The hours for this position are **4:30 pm to 3:00 am, Sunday to Wednesday** . Note: Training after orientation will be completed on dayshift 6:30 am to 5:00 pm from Tuesday to Friday. **Required Qualifications** + High school diploma (or equivalent) required + 1 year of collegescience(e.g.chemistry) with appropriate labs and 1 year of collegemath(algebra,geometry,trigonometryor calculus) or B.S. or B.A. Degree in ascienceor technical discipline + Ability to complete sensory testing which includes taste testing products to evaluate flavor, texture, aroma, etc. **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelors Degree inChemistry, Biology,Math, or closely related technical field + Knowledge of applicableregulatory standardsand requirements and nutritionals In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
