Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Oil and Gas clients to seek a Laboratory Technician I to work on an initial 12-month contract in Cicero Illinois United States.
MAIN FUNCTIONS Support and assist lab supervisors/chemists in routine and non-routine laboratory analysis. Perform wet chemistry and analytical testing on product and in-process samples for quality assurance/control. Conduct calibration and maintenance of laboratory test equipment. Prepare samples and ensure accurate data generation and record-keeping per standard operating procedures. Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance/control issues. Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and preparation standards. Follow directions and receive support as needed. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering. Proficient in computer applications. Preferably experienced in quality control systems.
