How You’ll Make an Impact 
 
The Laboratory Technician I is an entry-level role in our Oligo Synthesis Team. responsible for processing Oligo Synthesis orders for internal and external customers. The incumbent will create synthesis runs, process oligo synthesis orders using liquid handlers, perform QC workflows, and package orders for shipment to customers.


What You’ll Do 

Receive and sort incoming orders using established workflowsIndependently operate laboratory equipment including but not limited to pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, mass spectrometer and centrifuges. Follow SOPs accurately and precisely Handle chemical reagents and glasswareRestock lab supplies Prepare and package orders Maintain the cleanliness of work area Ability to lift 35 poundsAbility to read small font on sample tubes Reaching, lifting, bendingExtended periods of time standing or sitting, operating lab computers and equipment while wearing a lab coat, safety glasses, and glovesEmployee will be working in an area with hazardous chemicalsEmployee may have to use hand tools to adjust settings on instruments as needed

What You Will Bring

HS Diploma required A.S. Degree or B.S degree preferred Experience and/or desire to work in a fast-paced laboratory environmentDesire to learn new processes and support a growing teamStrong attention to detailStrong communication skillsMust be able to work in a team environmentPrevious experience using pipettes, liquid handling systems, spectrophotometer, and/or Mass SpectrometerCompetent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams, etc.)
