Key Responsibilities
Design, execute, and troubleshoot molecular biology experiments with a focus on metagenomics and microbiome research.
Build laboratory capabilities. Improve processes. Develop and validate new test methods and assays.
Generate, analyse and interpret high quality experimental data.
Maintain accurate lab records.
Train and mentor colleagues in molecular biology techniques.
Collaborate across teams to communicate findings, enhance research capabilities and .deliver experimental programs.
What You’ll Need
Required: BSc in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
Required: PhD in Molecular Biology, Molecular Microbiology, or equivalent industry experience.
Expertise in molecular biology techniques, including next-generation sequencing (Illumina NextSeq experience a plus).
Experience in microbiome research and laboratory method development.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience with LIMS and electronic lab notebooks.
