Laboratory Assistant - Fabric

Textile Lab Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of our textile products. You will be responsible for conducting various tests, analysing results, and collaborating with a team of experts to enhance our product lines. 

This role reports to the TFG Laboratory Manager

TFG Quality Assurance - GMP

Key responsibilities:

Textile testing, interpretation of test methods and the execution thereof. Prepare textile samples for various tests, ensuring accurate labelling and documentation Conduct physical and chemical tests on textiles in line with ISO testing procedures, including but not limited to tensile strength, colorfastness, abrasion resistance, and shrinkage within agreed SLA for all 3 categories (internal, external and commercial testing) Data recording: Accurately record test results and observations our Laboratory Management System Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. Work closely with the laboratory team and other departments to support research projects and product development initiatives

Qualifications and Experience:

A National Senior certificate or equivalent Experience in a textile testing laboratory will be advantageous

 Skills:

Ability to interpret test methods Numerical Skills Organizational and record-keeping skills are exemplary, setting a high standard MS proficiency
