Laboratory and Workplace Support Specialist

Due to our continuous growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our logistics teams. Our Logistics Team is made up of shipping, receiving, and lab support. The Laboratory & Workplace Support Specialist is responsible for buffer and media preparation as well as working on special projects. This position reports to the Lab Support Manager and is part of the Facilities & Production Equipment Department located in Waltham, Massachusetts and will be on-site. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Develop basic laboratory bench skills via buffer and media preparation + Learn basic glasswasher and autoclave operation as a daily recurring task + Take on an individual project to further the goals of the Laboratory Support team The essential requirements of the job include: + High school diploma / GED and 1+ year of experience in a laboratory setting (OR) bachelor’s degree and 0+ years of experience in a laboratory setting + Foundational skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook + Ability to learn, understand, and uphold Environmental Health & Safety policies Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: + Ability to lift 10-15lbs routinely throughout the work day as needed and lift up to 50lbs as needed and stand for 60-70% of the time. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Organization of inventory, data, and information to streamline processes Join our winning team today.
