Linde Gas Equipment Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician I to join our team

The Chemical Lab Technician will be accountable for conducting tests and preparing documentation for specialty gas cylinders. Under general supervision the Chemical Lab Technician conducts routine technical tasks in plant, field or lab and provides basic technical assistance in areas such as gas applications.

What you will be doing:

Performs routine analytical procedures on pure and mixed gasesUtilizes or adapts standard methods of procedureRuns mixture calculations for routine mixturesMay create specialty gas mixtures according to customer specificationsMay generate certificates of analysis for pure products and mixturesTests cylinders for safety and fills cylinders to required specifications following routine proceduresCoordinates electronic analytical tests to ensure gas mixtures meet customer requirementsAssists with the evaluation of all medical gases for FDA compliance before releasing for delivery to customersSets up and calibrates testing equipment to required standardsEnsures lab is maintained in a neat, clean, and orderly conditionPerforms routine maintenance on instruments, scales, and pumpsMaintains data both via hard copies and electronicallyInteracts effectively with other work groupsOther duties as assigned

High School Diploma/GED is requiredAssociates Degree preferredIndustrial/Specialty Gas is preferred2 years experience working in industrial lab environment
