Position Summary:
The Lab Technician constructs, maintains, and operates standard laboratory equipment, for example, Vacuum chamber, Torque meters, force measurement, Measurement equipment.  Uses computers and performs mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs (Excel and Minitab) for all new and existing product testing; full DVP&R Testing (Design Verification Plan and Report).  Keeps up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
*Building detailed test plans / strategies and tracking
*Measurement analysis / tolerance stack-up
*Quality inspection
*Detail structured problem solving
*FMEA, PFMEA’s, 8D, 5Why, Fishbone diagrams
*Production ramp up support
*Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks.
*Production Quality support
*Customer support, including line trials, site testing and quality complaints
*Customer Complaints Deep dive
*Ensure all Laboratory equipment is kept calibrated and fit for purpose
*Bench marking of competitor products
*Run full compatibility checks of customer products
*Liaising with internal and external suppliers
