Lab Technician Laboratory Blair, NE, US Pay Rate Low: 22 | Pay Rate High: 27 + Added - 07/11/2024 Apply for Job Our client is a global food and agriculture science company looking to bring on new associates on to their growing team! They are seeking a Laboratory Technician that brings at least one year of laboratory experience! Located in Blair, NE 6 month contract with extension **Pay:** $22-27/hour **Shift:** 1st shift **Key Responsibilities** : + **Routine Analytical Testing** : Perform routine quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and final products, independently and under intermediate supervision, to ensure food safety and quality standards are met + **Instrument Performance Monitoring** : Monitor and check the performance of laboratory instrumentation, including conducting calibration checks, preventive maintenance, and simple repairs to ensure accuracy and reliability in test results. Maintain up-to-date customer specifications and equipment records + **Documentation and Communication** : Accurately document test results in databases and communicate findings to internal teams and stakeholders as needed. Ensure all testing activities are aligned with customer specifications and regulatory requirements + **Food Safety and Compliance** : Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Assist in the development of food/feed safety and quality programs, and monitor adherence to established procedures. + **Collaboration and Support** : Work cross-functionally with food safety, quality assurance, and operational teams to improve and sustain a strong food safety, quality, and regulatory culture. Provide clerical, administrative, technical, or customer support as needed, escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. + **Report Writing** : Prepare and write routine reports, correspondence, and documentation related to laboratory testing, results, and compliance to ensure clarity and transparency. **Qualifications** : + **Education** : Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in laboratory sciences, food science, or related field. + ​​​​​​​ **Experience** : Prior laboratory experience, preferably in food safety, quality assurance, or analytical testing.
