Flow Cytometry Expertise
Successful candidate must have practical and theoretical knowledge of flow cytometry and be able to work independently.Ability to operate analytical flow cytometers in the flow core; Experience with Attune NxT, Fortessa, and Aurora analytical flow cytometers a plus. Perform experimental procedures; Luminex Bead based assays a plus.Customer Service
Assist core clientele in the acquisition of flow cytometry samples.Ability to assist clients with data analysis and interpretation.Instrument Maintenance
Ability to perform daily and monthly QC on core instrumentation.Teaching and Education
Assist Lab Director and Staff in the delivery of Flow Cytometry Training Courses, and Workshops.Stay current with new technologies and developments in the flow community through research, attendance of conferences, and workshops.Ability to effectively train and communicate with clients on the use of flow cytometry.General Lab Skills
Perform calculations for preparation of lab solutions and reagents.Comprehensive understanding of scientific principles.General computer skills and ability to learn scientific applications.Strong analytical skills and excellent judgment.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree.
Experience: 3 years of experience. 6 years of lab-related experience accepted in lieu of degree.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position can spend extensive periods of time standing and squatting while conducting experiments or caring for animals. Also requires keyboarding and other bench work and animal procedures requiring finer finger manipulation.
