Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case. **Summary:** The Research Assistant will have primary responsibility for assisting the project directors in managing day-to-day operations of the laboratory, including basic benchwork, assist with project reports and correspondence, and assist project team staff with execution of grant activities. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and ICARE values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. **Other information:** **Required Job Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s degree with 1 years of experience. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent computer skills. • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills. • Proficient with computer applications; experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred; excellent organizational skills. • Must be able to work efficiently, follow-through with assignments independently, with excellent attention to detail as well as strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytic skills. • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with teams of collaborators. **Preferred Job Qualifications:** • Experience in programming and analysis within the “R” programming environment. • Experience with microbiome research and data analysis • Experience with nucleic-acid-based workflows, including DNA extraction and PCR. **Disclaimer:** The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
