Kforce has a client in Spring, TX that is seeking a Lab/Network Engineer. Summary: Our technology client is looking to add an Lab Engineer for their team. This team is part of the Compute group focusing on the hardware and software components. Our team focuses on the development of Compute products, blending Client Compute hardware with Nvidia GPUs, and the software stacks running on this hardware. Our activities include development, AI benchmarking, and validation. This role involves managing the infrastructure in our lab, supporting the team with hardware and software setups, and ensuring efficient operation of our lab environment. Responsibilities: * Manage and maintain lab infrastructure, including systems and Nvidia GPUs * Perform AI benchmark tests to demonstrate GPU performance * Provide day-to-day lab support, including building topologies, gathering hardware, setting up, and configuring systems for team requests * Manage network equipment in the lab, primarily using Aruba switches * Set up hardware and software, including base-level OS installations (Linux - Ubuntu, RHEL, SLES) * Prioritize and handle approximately 3-4 requests per week, ensuring timely and efficient support * Collaborate cross-functionally with development, software, and hardware teams * Independently manage the team's infrastructure and respond quickly to support requests * Proactively identify and address issues, bringing up ideas for improvement
