Responsible for coordinating, and supervising all aspects related to Pre-Analytical Services (specimen collection and processing, laboratory specimen receiving, customer service, outpatient services, reference lab, and courier) Includes hiring staff, training, scheduling, budgeting, maintaining technical policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. A Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or associate degree in a related scientific field. Must be certified by ASCP (or equivalent) and a minimum of five (5) years experience with proven technological and academic abilities. A combination of previous laboratory experience, computer skills, technical skills and management experience in excess of the minimum work experience may substitute for degree requirements.
