This is an amazing opportunity to work on cutting edge treatments and make a difference!_ **Location:** Ridgefield, CT **Pay:** $23/hr-$28/hr **Responsibilities:** + Provide care and enrichment for routine and specialized animal colonies. + Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of animal facilities and equipment, including cage preparation and sanitization. + Handle and restrain laboratory animals, conducting regular observations and reporting any abnormal findings. + Document all tasks accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs). + Assist in training new team members on animal care and facility operations. + Operate and maintain animal facility equipment, such as cage washers and environmental monitoring tools. + Participate in quality reviews of animal care records and assist in identifying improvements in processes and technologies. **Qualifications:** + High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in an animal research facility or veterinary practice; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science preferred. + AALAS certification is highly desirable. + Basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). + Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols strictly.
