Overall position purpose
The Learning Experience & Design Consultant will be instrumental in contributing to contemporary
best practice learning and learner experiences to help shape EY wide initiatives. They will help to
create an EY Employee Experience that delivers a consistent and positive learner and people
experience.
The primary purpose of the Learning Experience & Design Consultant role is to look at the overall
employee learner experience, and recommend and create learner journeys and maps, that provide
impactful learning and engagement.
These learning experiences will then guide the creation and development of innovative learning and
development experiences and solutions within the organization.
They will keep abreast of the latest methods to improve learning experiences, fostering a culture of
continuous learning and professional development throughout the organization.
The Learning Experience & Design Consultant is dedicated to crafting dynamic learning experiences
that equip our people with the skills and mindsets needed to excel in their roles (current and
future).
Working closely with the Learning Experience & Insights Leader (LEIL), Learning Experience
Manager, Learning Insights and Technology Manager, and Learning Insights Coordinator, this role is
responsible for:
• Analysing learning data and insights to create learner journeys and learning maps, across
the employee lifecycle, to ensure impactful and consistent learner experiences across the
business
• Creating learner personas, learning metrics and experience guidelines
• Researching best practice learning experiences and building these into our learning
journeys and maps
• Working closely with the learning insights and technology teams to ensure our
recommended learning experiences are translated into viable learning metrics and learning
solutions
Major responsibilities/duties
► Supporting the design and development of innovative and contemporary learning journeys and
maps that create real learning experiences and impact for our EY people.
► Using learning insights to help drive concept generation and storyboarding across a range of
projects, ensuring all learning experience solutions are designed to achieve clear learning
outcomes.
► Collaborating with our Learning Technology Manager and team, LEIL Lead, subject matter
experts within and outside of the business; and our wider TD team to scope, design and deliver
innovative learning solutions that drive employee learning results.
► Helping to provide guidance to the TD team on the most effective learning methodologies to
drive impactful learner experiences
► Working flexibly and embracing a fast-paced timelines and deliverables approach

Day-to-day challenges
You will need to remain agile and adapt to changing requests from the business, whilst ensuring
you are creating best in class learning experiences. You will be required to manage competing
priorities, varying content focus areas and multiple deliverables in this role. Other challenges may

Qualifications, knowledge & experience
Qualifications and experience
► Experience creating learning solutions that deliver real impact using contemporary learning
delivery approaches
► Proven use of contemporary research, platforms, and applications to create meaningful
learning experiences
► Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
► Instructional Design experience, utilising adult learning principles
► Strong attention to detail and quality outcomes
► Sound project management experience with an achievement orientation.
► Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to work effectively with multiple
stakeholders across the organisation at all levels
► Strong team worker, with enthusiastic, can-do approach, with ability to coordinate and
work as ‘one team’
Knowledge
► Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office 365 suite – MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook,
SharePoint, Power BI etc.
► Skills in creating learning experiences using contemporary digital ie: Canva and learning
platforms, Apps ie: Ed App and authoring tools
► Minimum 3 years’ experience in L&D or Instructional Design, along with designing and
delivering training.
