Responsibilities Are you a skilled leader passionate about maintaining high standards in a vibrant community? As a Learning & Development Instructional Designer, you are responsible for developing engaging and effective learning experiences for Related Affordable. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to analyze learning needs, design instructional materials and implement training programs. You will directly work with a dedicated team of Learning & Development professionals, to deliver exceptional results and create a welcoming environment for all employees. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Map training design through the creation of storyboards and gather feedback from the L&D Project Lead. Develop instructional content, including eLearning modules, classroom training and job aids, by defining learning objectives, developing exercises, and writing effective assessments that facilitate learner retention and demonstrate best practices in instructional design. Create engaging and interactive content that caters to diverse learning styles, utilizing various multimedia tools and technologies. Incorporate basic user engagement strategies within a course to maximize retention. Handoff completed courses to the L&D Coordinator for assignment and management in the appropriate learning management system (LMS). Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality instructional materials. Stay updated on emerging technologies and instructional design trends to enhance learning experiences. Implement assessment strategies to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvements. Work closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other instructional designers to ensure course alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Anticipated salary range: $85,000 – $110,000 USD per year This range is provided as a general guideline and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, geographical location, and the specific responsibilities of the role. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Final compensation offers will be determined following a thorough assessment of the candidate’s background and the requirements of the position. Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Graphic Design, or a related field. Proven experience in instructional design and development. Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate). Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM). Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS). Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools. Knowledge of accessibility standards in instructional design. Ability to research, develop, and edit training content that adheres to basic instructional design. Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong belief in the value of teamwork and collaboration.
