We are seeking an energetic, skilled​ Sanitation Lead in our Penn Yan, NY location.

 

We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week. This opportunity will require flexibility to work weekends and overtime.

 

Main Functions:

Sanitation is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the facility, surrounding area and equipment.

 

Schedule:

Wednesday-Saturday | pick your own 10 hr block between 4pm-7am. Will need flexibility to switch to days, to train new employees, at a short notice for 3-4 weeks at a time.

 

The expected compensation range for this position is: $23.50 / hour

Summary:

Incumbent is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the facility, surrounding area and equipment. Incumbent is expected to complete all necessary documentation, enforce company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety rules and regulations; prioritize and assign daily tasks for Sanitation team and organize trainings. Incumbent must be able to transition to alternative shift with short notice for 3 – 4 week time period multiple times a year.

 

Coordinate KanPak sanitation activities and operations to meet objective for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPakParticipate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growthComply with KanPak policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as well as state and federal law to ensure food safety, food defense and cleanliness within the plantEnforce all elements of food safety within the plantPrepare for state, federal and customer inspectionsValidate sanitation effectiveness with visual inspection and swab performance (ATP, Microbial, Allergen) and chemical concentrations for program complianceEnsures that minimal downtime is experienced during sanitation and pre-operational inspectionsComplete and review all Sanitation documentation properly, accurately and in a timely manner.Prepare production equipment for cleaning by following proper SOP proceduresResponsible for disassembling, cleaning and sanitizing of all food-processing equipment including storage areas, handling line cleanups and the documentation for clean-upsCommunicate potential issues, concerns or risks with supervisor to achieve resolutionMaintain proper PPE when working with chemicalsPerform related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Knowledge: 

Minimum 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industryMinimum 3 years of experience in Sanitation

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Ability to read P&ID’s and blueprints Advanced computer skills
