Korea Retirement Leader - Actuarial

As a Retirement Leader in Seoul office, South Korea, you will be responsible for leading and providing directions to the South Korea Retirement business. Your knowledge and expertise will be essential to implement the future growth strategy while fostering development and commercialization of Intellectual Capital and drive ongoing operational improvements.
Also, as a senior consultant, you will have the opportunity to support diverse projects related to actuarial valuations, design, funding, communication, mergers & acquisitions, asset liability studies and other special projects for key clients as needed.
Provide leadership and direction to the South Korea Retirement business, including the setting of the future growth strategy. Drive new business growth. Collaboration and joint growth strategy with other businesses in South Korea Actively participate as part of the Retirement Asia Leadership team, South Korea Leadership team and collaborate with other Retirement markets. Manage the South Korea Retirement P&L/Financials Manage key clients and leading/coaching new business opportunities. Provide strong financial management to ensure financial targets are met. Provide strong leadership, engaging and motivating colleagues, promoting respect in the workplace. Attract external and develop internal talent to build a leading team in the industry. Foster the development and commercialization of Intellectual Capital in the South Korea Retirement business. Drive quality standards and consistent and efficient delivery of Retirement services. Work with Geography client and sales management resources to maximize profitable sales and revenue and to help build pipelines from cross-lob campaigns. Set up the annual marketing activity based on the market trend and represent WTW externally at industry conferences and events, making connections which can deliver commercial outcomes for the South Korea Retirement business. Drive ongoing operational improvements.The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets & attributes:
Strong understanding of the retirement environment and business, including challenges and opportunities in consulting and solutions with at least 10+ years of work experience An undergraduate degree is required and advanced degree preferred.Has obtained at least one or more actuarial credentials.Demonstrated success or compelling evidence to generate new clients, sales, and opportunity. A record of performing core retirement work as well as the ability to contribute to cross-practice client engagements.Proven experience successfully managing multiple projects and producing quality deliverables on time and within budget.Strong client relationship, interpersonal and team skills to mentor the juniorsAn executive presence with polished and well-developed oral and written communication skillsInitiative-taker attitude and ability to work within ambiguity. Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues.Strong analytical and creative skillsThe ability to see the “big picture,” leveraging the resources of related practices to address the clients’ business challenges.Intellectual curiosity and the desire to expand one’s business acumen in the retirement and human capital consulting field.Strong knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Native Korean and advanced business level EnglishBased in Seoul, South Korea
