Knowledge Officer

As an integral part of the Strategic Growth Group within Global Operations, the Knowledge Officer supports the Knowledge Systems Director in transforming FHI 360’s knowledge management systems. We seek an enthusiastic collaborator with a diverse skill set, including stellar organizational abilities, a passion for processes, and a knack for implementing innovative knowledge exchange and learning strategies. This role is initially focused on driving standard practices for global conferences and enhancing knowledge exchange through vibrant communities and engagement. The Knowledge Management Officer ensures that knowledge processes, content, technology, behaviors, and metrics are dynamic and drive continuous learning and impactful results.

Key Responsibilities

Provides support and guidance to staff and partners in the region and in country regarding knowledge tools, processes, and practices

Supports accessing, uploading, searching quality assurance of knowledge systems like Vine and Connect as well as others.  

Supports creation of knowledge products based on the design and direction set by technical leadership.

Implements and monitors knowledge strengthening initiatives.   

Supports process and engagement roll out which may in involve developing adoption and/or training strategy, designs and conducts training or adoption activities for our knowledge systems.  

Creates engaging content to share internally about existing knowledge products, curates and improves knowledge products and actively engages teams to support knowledge exchange across FHI 360

Knowledge and Applied Skills

Knowledge of KM software and other technologies. Ability to influence, motivate, and collaborate with others.

Ensure the availability, accessibility, and relevance of high-quality content.

Develop and implement processes for knowledge capture, storage, and dissemination.

Curate content to include best practices, case studies, and lessons learned.

Maintain content governance policies and ensure accuracy and currency of information

Encourage and recognize contributions to knowledge management.

Assists in providing dissemination of tools, materials, reports, papers, and intervention for projects.

Provides quality control and quality assurance support.

Contribute to development and sharing of lessons, knowledge, innovations, and best practices.

Problem Solving & Impact

Works on problems of moderate scope that require analysis or interpretation of various factors.

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Builds rapport with internal and external staff.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent required. 

Experience:

Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience managing data collection and technical assistance experience.

Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private company.
