A Kitchen Assistant (Sous Chef) will work closely with the Kitchen Manager to manage all aspects of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while managing food provisions, assisting with guest queries, and controlling costs.

What will I be doing?
To be a passionate host and a highly collaborative Food Operations team member who a) assists in preparing safe, high quality food products that fully meet specified standards whilst minimising waste, and b) cleans and stores cooking utensils and service ware so that team members have the appropriate equipment to provide excellent brand-specific guest experiences in our F&B outlets. Some of your responsibilities are outlined below:
\n\nCome to work every day with a smile on your face \nBe a reliable and motivated member of the Food Operations team\nCommunicate clearly and constructively with other team members to help deliver great guest experiences at our hotel\nBe a role model for others by demonstrating passionate, friendly brand-specific guest service at all times\nAlways deliver ‘fair share’ in team tasks and support colleagues whose workload may temporarily be heavy, this includes helping out in areas outside Kitchen / Stewarding\nProvide constructive suggestions/feedback to your Line Manager on products, processes and procedures to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts\nBe aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required\nVolunteer to participate in company campaigns like Travel with Purpose or Team Member committees\nExecute any duties as assigned by the Food Operations Leadership team and the Chief Host\nOrganise assigned kitchen work areas to be able to deliver pre-service and service tasks effectively & efficiently, to the required standard, and in line with local standards\nConstantly maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of assigned work areas in kitchen, stewarding, and waste disposal areas\nUnderstand specifications of dishes (mainly breakfast) that we sell\nBe an eager learner who wants to improve food preparation skills and culinary knowledge\nAssist with food and meal production (mainly during breakfast service) as instructed by the Food Operations Leadership team\nClean the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools with care and attention to detail\nWash utensils, cutlery & crockery carefully and efficiently and make sure they are stored appropriately\nDispose of rubbish and waste correctly, recycling as much as possible\nA Kitchen Assistant (Sous Chef) serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members.
