The Department values excellent teaching and student engagement, which enhances the University’s efforts to provide a supportive environment, promote diversity and foster teaching innovation, instructional technology, and course development. The Department of Kinesiology and Applied Physiology invites nominations and applications for a continuing track faculty position (assistant professor, non-tenure track, nine-month academic year appointment). We seek an innovative, dynamic faculty member to teach undergraduate human anatomy and physiology, and other departmental courses in the applicant’s area of expertise.There may be an opportunity to teach graduate courses within the candidate's discipline. Other responsibilities include student mentoring and service to the department, college, and university. A Doctoral degree in a related field and relevant teaching experience is required (ABD considered). All faculty are expected to contribute to a welcoming campus environment that embraces diversity. GENERAL INFORMATION:The College of Health Sciences is a dynamic, innovative academic unit with more than 3,400 undergraduate and graduate students and 131 faculty members, who are nationally recognized leaders across multiple disciplines. The College is housed in multiple buildings on the traditional main campus, but also is an anchor tenant of the University’s Science, Technology, and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus.
