Key Account Support Specialist

Are you a customer-oriented professional looking to develop new business and maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships? In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage customers and develop solutions to meet their needs, increase volume from existing customers, identify and acquire volume from new customers, and manage implementation through effective customer education.

Essential Duties:

Establish and maintain appropriate business relationships with residential and small commercial key customers and strategic business partners.Primary point of contact for assigned key customers and strategic partners.Meet regularly with builders, developers, engineering firms, borough officials, chambers and other groups to discuss existing and upcoming developments and projects.Research new developments and opportunities to ensure PNG is considered the utility of choice.Focus on residential and commercial customer growth through the installation of new facilities and potential conversion projects.Analyze all aspects of a project to set objectives, identify critical issues and to achieve the highest ROI and revenue.Evaluate projects and work with builder/developers to ensure proper planning for mainline construction and provide turnkey solution of construction heat whenever possible.Evaluate projects and allowable dollars to offer builder/developers incentives to guarantee installation and potential installation of gas appliances.Maximize revenue by recognizing and responding to opportunities and threats.Supply reports, analysis and records for internal and external customers.Implement sales strategies/programs and ensure expedient and reliable service.Prepare and deliver leadership presentations and business analysis.

Key Account Specialist Roles will have duties to include:

Maintain appropriate business relationships; meeting regularly to ensure project needs are metIdentify opportunities to educate on the use of natural gas appliances and increase volumeMain Line Extension (MLX)/ Conversion ProjectsCreate gas applications and notifications and enter data in P6 (scheduling software)Work with design and engineering group to obtain CAD files and pertinent documents as well as obtain estimatesWork with Land Department on Right of Way issuesExecute Line Extension AgreementsCommunicate with builders/developers/engineers and ensure proper planning for the mainline constructionCommunicate among internal departments including logistics and constructionMonitor projects and report on project statusIdentify and qualify conversion opportunities/areasMonitor potential projects to ensure if and when they are approved we are involvedAttend borough/township meetings & review meeting minutesPrioritize projects based upon probabilityResearch prior completed MLX projects to determine if additional conversion/opportunities are available

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of natural gas industry and PNG tariff, operating policies, procedures, codes, and standards.                                Proficient skills in math applications (finance, record keeping, database management) and technical practices (computer skills and software packages, such as Microsoft Office).Knowledge of PUC regulations.Project management, organizational, negotiations, interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently, as part of a team and as a leader.

Experience/Education Requirements:

Minimum of three years’ experience in the energy industry.Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or engineering.Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for preferred education.Valid driver's license and ability to drive PNG company vehicles.
