Key Account Specialist - Quebec City, Saguenay, Beauce and Eastern Quebec
The Key Account Specialist is responsible for achieving sales targets, based on a sound business plan and sales strategy execution. This role will be to promote Bayer’s first entrant into the ophthalmology field with the launch of a treatment for wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD), central retina vein occlusion (CRVO) and diabetic macular edema (DME). The Key Account Specialist will develop and implement customer-focused initiatives with a strong entrepreneurial focus and alignment with the go-to-market model.
This is a permanent position and will cover the Quebec City, Saguenay, Beauce and Eastern Quebec.
What you will do:
analyze business environment and develop territory and center-specific business planspromote ophthalmology product to retina specialists and related HCP stakeholdersinteract with local patient groups regarding disease areaestablish superior business relationships with key ophthalmology stakeholdersidentify and develop strategy for key accounts and stakeholders in assigned territorywork collaboratively with medical affairs to deliver valuable clinic programs and projectsassist customers with any support needed related to access of Bayer’s ophthalmology productconduct regional CHE and other customer education programs including clinic / staff training and referral audience CHEstrategically invest and track corresponding resultsadhere to all requirements and code of conduct as directed by RX&D and Bayer policy guidelines
Who you are:
University degree: preference for Science or Business degreeA minimum of 4 years specialty sales experience. Ophthalmology experience is a strong asset.Strong business acumen. Able to perform insightful assessment of market and make good judgments and decisions accordingly with entrepreneurial focusAbility to effectively convey clinical and scientific informationStrong key account management, project management, and critical thinking skillsStrong understanding of retina specialist and injection access, politics and decision making processesSuperior competencies in relationship building, networking, problem solving, impact and influenceExcellent customer-service and teamwork orientationPC and standard software literacy such as literature searchesMust be willing to travel throughout assigned territory and other areas as requiredBilingualism required for Quebec positionsHigh level of competencies in efficiency and planning, interpersonal sensitivity, teamwork, tenacity and achievement orientation
