We are currently looking to add a compassionate, hardworking individual to our team as a full-time Kennel Assistant to assist with the daily operations of our boarding kennel.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily care for dogs, cats, and other animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and administering medication as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the kennel by cleaning kennels, play areas, common spaces, and hospital grounds. Monitor animals for any signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the Boarding Supervisor. Assist with walking and exercising dogs, ensuring they receive enough physical activity. Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ care, any concerns, and updates as directed by the Boarding Supervisor. Maintain accurate written and computerized records of animal care routines, medical needs, and any special instructions. Help ensure the kennel is a safe, calm, and welcoming environment for both animals and visitors. Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and assisting with check-ins and check-outs.Requirements:
A genuine love for animals and a strong desire to work with them. Previous experience in animal care or working with animals is preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move animals or heavy objects (with assistance for items or pets over 40 lbs). Must be over 18 years old. Schedule requirements include daytime and evening hours, rotating weekends, and holidays.What We Offer:
