A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (ATSU-KCOM) is seeking a part-time, non-exempt, Physiology Research Assistant on the Kirksville, Missouri, campus. The research assistant will be responsible for performing laboratory work including preparation of solutions and stocks, bacterial transformation, site-directed mutagenesis, DNA and RNA purification, and injection of RNA into oocytes. Additional responsibilities include animal surgeries, execution of experiments, data analysis and molecular modeling.

Major Job Duties

Experimentation (animal survival surgery, immunohistochemistry, western blot, etc.). Lab managing (laboratory maintenance, ordering and stocking supplies, cataloging samples, help in oversight of students). Data analysis.

Education/Experience

College-level knowledge of biochemistry, biology or chemistry. Ability to work independently. Ability to communicate effectively.
