The Key Account Manager, is responsible for building relationships and developing plans to increase brand share and awareness within the industry **Job Description:** **You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities: ** · Drive commercial relationship with Industrial Distributors and National Accounts focusing on sales growth and market share gain. · Work with JSS and Channel teams to effectively develop and execute sales and conversions plans with his/her industrial distributors · Strategically plan customer visits to cultivate relationships, deliver presentations and create opportunities to grow business · Present reports to management that track sales and opportunities · Work with Channel, Product and Sales Leadership Teams to execute & win line reviews, maintain skus, build out POG and lead meetings. · Participate in local and national account shows and events. When necessary direct activities of the show (set up/tear down, schedule field sales support, activities). · Act as liaison between customer and internal departments to resolve issues as needed · Work with product teams within Milwaukee to ensure launches are on time and relevant · Implement and drive the account strategy to achieve corporate goals · Work with the National Account Managers to execute national initiatives · Candidate needs to be able to multitask between multiple levels of leadership · Deliver accurate sales forecasts for accounts on a regular basis. · Performs other duties as assigned. **The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:** · Requires a bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent experience · 2-5 years of experience as Key Account Manager for Industrial Suppliers and Distributors, like Grainger, Fastenal, Risoul, Vallen, etc.) · Success in managing multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, making some decisions, and working effectively in a matrix environment. · Must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Act as a leader as well as think technically but communicate practically. · Travel Depending on location frequent travel will be required to and from Ace Hardware Headquarters or Brookfield · Track record of success with cross functional teams, driving change and implementing new processes that significantly improve sales effectiveness. · Effective written and oral communication skills, ability to establish rapport and credibility. · Innovative problem solver-resolve issues and challenges with strong sense of urgency. · Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Project.
