Responsibilities
Work as a Junior Engineer within the Structural Engineering department to assist in design and delivery of high quality technical and coordinated designs.
Work on defined tasks under supervision with some autonomy
Responsible for checking the quality of own work.
Responsible for the effective organisation of information and documentation, e.g., filing, QA etc
Responsible for meeting agreed deadlines.
Develop and demonstrate excellent communication with all project stakeholders, sub-consultants, and clients.
Considers and suggests practical and innovative approaches and ideas to create competitive advantage.
Encourages the development of innovative ideas.
Collaborate effectively and efficiently with Atkins employees within other offices and sectors of the business.
Exhibit a collaborative One Company mind-set in the support of colleagues throughout Atkins.
Specific Responsibilities
Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment for simulation purposes and to prepare engineering design documents.
