Those in IT support at PwC will focus on providing front-line technical assistance and troubleshooting to facilitate smooth functioning of computer systems software and hardware. Working in this area, you will be responsible for providing support to internal and external clients to address and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner through a variety of mediums/channels. The guidance will help to resolve technical issues and maintain efficient IT operations at the L2 up to L4 support levels.

Role Overview:

The Junior Solution Architect plays a foundational role in the Enterprise Architecture (EA) team, supporting various architectural activities. This entry-level position is designed to provide learning opportunities and growth within the field of enterprise architecture, focusing on assisting in the creation and maintenance of architectural solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


1.Documentation Assistance:

Assist in creating and maintaining architectural documentation, including diagrams, reports, and project files.


Ensure that all documentation is organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.

2. Analysis and Research:

Collaborate with senior architects to research technology trends and conduct analyses to support architectural decision-making.

Help identify potential solutions and best practices by gathering and analyzing relevant information.


3.Design Support:

Contribute to architectural design tasks under the guidance of senior architects.

Participate in the development of architectural solutions that align with EA principles and project requirements.


4.Learning and Development:

Continuously learn and deepen knowledge of architectural principles, methodologies, and frameworks.

Seek guidance from senior team members and actively participate in training and professional development opportunities.


5.Collaboration:

Work closely with senior architects and project teams to support various architectural tasks.

Collaborate on projects to gain practical experience and understanding of solution architecture processes.


6.Records Maintenance:

Assist in maintaining records of architectural decisions, project statuses, and relevant information.

Ensure accurate and thorough documentation is kept for future reference and reporting.


7.Communication:

Support communication within the EA team and with external stakeholders by assisting in correspondence and responding to inquiries.

Facilitate the relay of messages and information between team members and other stakeholders.


Desired Skills and Experience:


•Strong interest in enterprise architecture and a willingness to learn and grow within the field.
•Basic understanding of architectural concepts and principles.
•Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).
•Strong communication and teamwork skills.


Qualifications:
•Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Business Administration / Information Systems or similar.
•Technical Certification relevant to the technology used within the organisation (e.g. Cloud practitioner, Azure fundamentals, AI, etc.)
•A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in a technology or architecture role, include exposure to architectural practices and projects


KPIs for Junior Solution Architect


1.Documentation Quality and Maintenance

Document Creation and Update: Assist in the creation and update of at least 5 key architectural documents per quarter, ensuring accuracy and clarity.


2.Analysis and Research Contribution

Research Support: Contribute to at least 2 research and analysis tasks per quarter, providing summaries and insights for senior architects.


3.Design Participation

Design Task Involvement: Participate in the development of architectural designs for at least 2 projects annually, under the supervision of senior architects.


4.Learning and Professional Development

Training Completion: Complete at least one relevant training course or certification annually to enhance understanding of architectural principles and practices.


5.Collaboration and Team Support

Project Support: Actively participate in at least 4 project meetings per quarter, providing support and learning from experienced colleagues.


6.Records and Information Management

Records Maintenance: Assist in maintaining up-to-date records of architectural decisions and project statuses, reviewed quarterly for accuracy.


7.Effective Communication

Communication Support: Assist in managing internal and external communications, ensuring timely responses and clear information relay, with at least one major communication task per quarter.
