Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

The Junior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining and controlling the Quality Management System in accordance with the international standard AS9100 (for the aerospace industry). The person will be involved in monitoring, analysis and continuous improvement of business processes in UK campus, to ensure that products and processes meet the required quality standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

Junior Quality Assurance Engineer carries out the following activities:

·         Support in the management and maintenance of the AS9100 Quality Management System.

·         Monitor and record quality-related KPIs, verifying compliance with AS9100 requirements.

·         Assist in internal and external audit activities, participating in the preparation of documentation and management of audit reports.

·         Collaborate with production, engineering and supply teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues.

·         Participate in the non-conformance (NC) management process, including handling, documenting and closing corrective/preventive actions.

·         Support in drafting root cause analysis reports and defining corrective and preventive actions.

·         Assist in reviewing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality documentation.

·         Assist in managing and monitoring suppliers, ensuring that they meet company quality standards and AS9100 compliance.

·         Manage and maintain the business document and quality records management system.

Qualifications and Skills

The qualifications and skills necessary for carrying out the work activities of Junior Quality Assurance, are related to the following areas of knowledge and competence:

·         Bachelor’s degree aerospace, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.

·         Ability to work in a team, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

·         Digital skills: knowledge of \"office automation\" packages.

·         Analytical, processing, technical/operational documentation writing skills.

Additional preferred, but not required

·         Knowledge of AS9100 standard.

·         At least 3 months' experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial, aerospace, or automotive environment

·         Basic knowledge of quality management processes and continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5S, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
