The Junior Project Coordinator is located on site and typically reports directly to the Project Manager.
Project Coordinators plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate assigned project(s) from start to finish and in accordance with schedule, specifications and budget. Their primary focus is safety, planning, monitoring progress, scheduling, quality, costs management, estimating, reporting, and managing project change under the direction of senior leadership.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assist the Project Manager on projects to ensure project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards are in accordance with company policy and contract specifications are metAssist the Project Manager on field reports to ensure the reports are submitted to the Clients on time and invoices are processed on a monthly basisComply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies and proceduresAssist in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established timelines Complete quantity take offs from construction drawings, track and update as-built quantities and field verify when requiredAssist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsAssist in budget analysis, cost and margin projections, estimate project changes and impactsAssist in developing and implementing quality control programsBuild and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clientsTrade and subcontractor coordination Document controlPurchase supplies and materials as required to complete project Field CoordinationCutting POs in coordination with procurement teamPrepare quotes for Urgent ServiceProducing maintenance reportsProviding back up reports per City’s requestCommunication with the City if neededDiscuss details of urgent work with Foreman/PMUploading document to the SharePointSupport Foreman

·Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technology, or Electrical EngineeringWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years of Project Coordination experience in the construction sector working on Streetlight / Utilities projects is considered an assetSKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Proficient knowledge and understanding of:
Contract managementKnowledge of JDE, CMMS and TMMS Construction scheduling, planning, and executionBlue print reading Project electrical, mechanical and structural design interpretationFinancial statements – read and comprehendOrganization and time managementProficient user of:
