Junior Project Coordinator

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our growing project management group, based in Montreal or Gatineau. The Project Coordinator is expected to be involved in certain stages of a project's lifecycle (i.e., start-up, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and/or close-out) for consulting services related to various multidisciplinary projects. Most components of this role will be related to engineering and/or environmental consulting areas. We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a great corporate culture, comprehensive and employee-focused benefits including virtual healthcare and a wellness platform as well as great savings programs, and a clear vision for the future. \# **WeAreWSP** **What you can expect to do here:** + Implement and coordinate the project in accordance with the approach of the WSP Project Management methodologies and established quality control procedures. + Communicate with the project team to help track and control budgets, expenditures, and schedules. + Provide the project manager with regular updates on project controls, progress, and forecast trends. + Liaise with subcontractors and vendors and assist in the preparation of subcontractor work orders and invoicing of payments. + Create and update project budgets and schedules and report issues to the project manager. + Interface with the accounting team to ensure compliance with client invoicing requirements, participate in the preparation of invoices and facilitate timely payments. + Participate in the development and monitoring of health and safety requirements and associated SS plans. + Coordinate written and oral communications from the project team and document meetings, interactions and activities with clients. + Identify requirements and prepare change orders. + Review the team's resource requirements and prepare basic work orders. + Coordinate the logistical needs of the project team, such as travel and mobilization. + Interact with customers according to the needs of the project managers. + Coordinate the preparation and distribution of the various project deliverables. + Assist in the preparation and submission of project notifications. + Ensure that project records are kept up to date using the specified document control system. **What you’ll bring to WSP:** + Advanced degree or university degree in the field of environment, science, engineering, or a business-related field. + Basic knowledge of project management principles and the PMI-Project Management Institute's body of knowledge.. + Excellent organizational skills. + Exceptional attention to detail and precision. + Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, manage priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to quickly assimilate processes and prioritize customer requirements. + Excellent team player, self-motivation and proactive spirit, with a flexible and pragmatic attitude. + Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Adobe Acrobat software. Oracle and Power BI are assets. + Previous experience in the field of consulting is an asset. + Experience in field logistics and procurement, as well as travel booking, is an asset. + Experience in the mining or construction industry or in the fields of environment and engineering is an asset. **WSP** is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
