Here’s what you’ll do:
Junior Process Engineer supports the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes in the ophthalmologic sector. The position requires experience with lean manufacturing principles, AutoCAD, and continuous improvement methodologies. The Junior Process Engineer will play a key role in developing efficient, streamlined processes while supporting automation initiatives to enhance productivity and quality in production
Process Optimization: Assist in analyzing and improving existing manufacturing processes, focusing on increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality.Lean Layout Implementation: Work with senior engineers to design and implement lean layouts in production areas, ensuring optimal workflow and space utilization to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.AutoCAD Drafting: Utilize AutoCAD to create detailed layouts, process flow diagrams, and equipment designs for manufacturing areas and automation solutions. Continuous Improvement: Support the implementation of lean and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma, to identify opportunities for process enhancement and cost reduction.Automation Planning & Implementation: Assist in the planning and execution of automation projects, including the selection and installation of automated equipment and technologies, to improve operational efficiency and product consistency. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure smooth integration of process improvements and automation into day-to-day operations.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation related to process designs, improvements, and automation projects. Prepare reports and presentations for management review. Performs additional tasks as required.
Do you qualify?
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.1-3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or manufacturing.Proficient in AutoCAD for designing layouts and process flows.Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, including experience in implementing 5S, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies.Exposure to automation planning and implementation in a manufacturing setting.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Knowledge of ophthalmologic manufacturing processes or medical device industry standards is a plus.
