We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior P6 Scheduler to support our client's engineering consulting team in planning and scheduling commercial nuclear design modification projects. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in Primavera P6 and an understanding of scheduling principles related to engineering and construction projects. This role provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a dynamic and highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities:Assist in the development, maintenance, and analysis of project schedules using Primavera P6.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project data and ensure schedule accuracy.
Support the integration of scope, schedule, and cost data to enhance project tracking and reporting.
Assist in identifying and analyzing critical path activities, schedule risks, and mitigation strategies.
Maintain and update project schedules based on progress, delays, and modifications.
Prepare reports, charts, and dashboards to communicate scheduling insights to project teams and clients.
Ensure compliance with project scheduling best practices and regulatory requirements specific to the nuclear industry.
Support project controls efforts, including earned value management and schedule forecasting.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling processes.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 1-3 years of scheduling experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or nuclear projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
Basic understanding of project management principles and scheduling methodologies.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Exposure to commercial nuclear power plant projects or other highly regulated industries.
Knowledge of industry standards such as ANSI/EIA-748 (Earned Value Management) and DOE/NRC project scheduling guidelines.
Experience with schedule risk analysis and critical path method (CPM) scheduling.
Familiarity with construction and engineering workflows in nuclear or industrial settings.
