We are looking for a Junior Operations and Workforce Optimization Facilitator to join the Operations team. The role will be based in Durban and will report to the Operations and Workforce & Optimization Lead. 

·    Bachelor’s or equivalent 3 year Degree in Commerce/ Business

·       Must be a graduate with at least one year retail experience/understanding

·       Knowledge of Economic/Accounting principles and General Retail

·       Proficient in MS Office Suite with Advanced Excel and MS Teams  

·       To assist in improving, updating and maintaining all analytical/reporting platforms in support of the National Operations teams in order optimize and maximize efficiencies.

·       Assist in controlling assigned operational labour budgets and implementing enhancements that contribute to the company's profit.

·       Assist in Setting up and maintaining operations labour initiatives to ensure stores operate optimally. 

·       Assist the operations team with planning and scheduling on HCM platforms.

·       Keep the Labour Blueprint Schedule up to date and advise the operations team on store budgets for labour.

·       Assist in developing, maintaining and controlling of assigned budgets and forecasts.     

·       Assist in updating and reporting on all labour costs on a weekly basis for overtime and casual spend in the field to assist the Operations and finance team with forecasting. 

·       Assist with analysing the overtime and casual spend on a weekly basis and compare this to what was budgeted. 

·       Assist with ad hoc requests across the National operations team that involve but not limited to labour expenses, financial reporting, sales reporting and any operational optimizational reporting.

·       Ensure data needed for the operational teams are accurate and timeously done.

·       Assist Operations, HR and Finance to obtain information that is needed for operational reporting. This may include developing of reports using business reporting tools.

·       Looking for ways to ensure effective and efficient labour planning and scheduling is done.   

·       Create and manage reporting platforms to assist the operations team across all departments.

·       Coordinate and assist in innovative projects that optimize the overall operations team.

·       Assist with store database models and dashboards that improves end users experience.
