Junior Localization Engineer

Junior Localization Engineers are technically skilled individuals with a desire to troubleshoot and create solutions for technical production issues including TM management, script development for data manipulation, and defining strategies for project executions.

What You Will Be Doing:Provide daily, project-based technical support to production and sales departmentsFacilitate company-wide technology rolloutsAssist project managers and linguists in troubleshooting issues related to the translation processValidate new features in our CAT tool, TM Server and Analysis Package productsManagement of Translation Memories (TMs)Automation of file analysis, parsing, and filteringWrite scripts and/or macros in various programming languages to automate repetitive tasks performed by project managersPrepare various file types for the localization process (including re-coding and script writing as needed) to ensure compliance with clients’ requirements and integrity of dataProvide quotes on new projects for sales and production upon requestWork closely with Software Product Managers to report and test fixes for bugs found by product usersPerform other special projects or duties when requiredWho We Are Looking For:Fluency in EnglishMinimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalentKnowledge of computer, scripting, and markup languages including (but not necessarily all of) VB, VBA, C++, Perl, ASP, Java, JSP, XML, HTML, XLIFFHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe software, and Internet softwareHigh level of proficiency in Windows platformStrong communication and organizational skillsExceptional attention to detailAvid curiosity and desire to improve processes
