Junior/Intermediate Intern Architect

Job Description

Overview:

The position would be for a junior to intermediate intern architect, currently doing registration internship. They would be in a supporting role to the local principal(s), transit director, as part of the Alberta Transit team which the firm is growing. The individual needs to have excellent design and technical skills relative to their years of experience, excellent communication skills, and if possible, also have had some Construction Administration experience.  LRT and Aviation experience is an excellent asset.

Role accountabilities:

Working closely with the team and team leads, principals and director this person will be involved in all aspects of Transit project development end to endParticipate in client meetings, involved with consultant discipline coordination Developing design and construction documents work in Revit and CADDeveloping project documentation

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's in architecture or master's in architectureRegistered with the AAA or in the process of becoming registeredIdeally have Transit experience, and / or Aviation experience5 to 8 years' experience in a range of institutional, government, industrial, commercial projectsFluent with Revit / Auto CAD / Rhino & Grasshopper / Sketchup, and Adobe Suite of software, Microsoft Project scheduling software / WORD & EXCEL
