Junior Financial Analyst, Employee Benefits
Southern Veterinary Partners (SVP) is a veterinary-owned and managed network of animal hospitals with the common goal of providing the highest-quality veterinary care to companion animals and exceptional client experiences. SVP currently owns over 450 locations across the country and is sponsored by a leading private equity team. SVP is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst, Employee Benefits to join our rapidly growing team in Birmingham, AL. This role will be an integral part of SVP’s finance team, and will be an essential partner to our business development team. This position has reporting responsibilities to business development, finance, human resources, and operations. Responsibilities: Analyze and understand the historical benefits paid to employees of hospitals being acquired by SVP. Historical benefits include bonuses, health insurance, PTO, holiday pay, etc. Communicate with hospital managers and hospital owners to ensure we are fully capturing all benefits historically provided to teammates within our hospital census Calculate the compensation impact needed to true-up employees that would be losing historical benefits as a result of the SVP acquisition Work alongside our Financial Diligence team and Acquisition Management team to communicate the impact of any true-ups to the hospital’s QoE and proforma financials Manage the needs of the acquisitional timeline for 100+ acquisitions as it relates to employee true-ups Stay up to date on state law requirements for various benefits such as sick pay, PTO, etc. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree 1-2 years of similar work experience, preferably in a Human Resources or Finance role Self-starter with strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret data, question the results, generate insights and construct solutions Manage multiple engagements at one time while being able to stay organized and familiar with each acquisition’s status in order to meet deadlines Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and good accounting knowledge Excellent Excel skills and working with large amounts of data Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills Aptitude to adapt to a fast-paced environment Benefits Work with an organization recognized as #1 in Healthcare by Newsweek’s Most Loved Workplaces in 2024.
