Be our next Junior Environmental Engineer in Training!

EXP is seeking a Junior Environmental Engineer in Training based out of the Burnaby, BC, office. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with Environmental investigation and Remediation support for EXP in BC.

 
Your work environment at EXP

Assist project coordination, fieldwork (drilling, well development, groundwater sampling etc.) and reporting for a variety of contaminated sites projects in BC using standard field methodologies and protocols under the guidance of a senior engineer/professionals; Assist with desktop reviews, environmental monitoring projects, due diligence environmental investigations being conducted for regulatory submissions; Prepare reports and assist with proposal preparation for review by a senior professional; Other duties as assigned/required

 

What your experience looks like

Engineer in Training – able to register or currently registered with EGBC. Recent engineering graduates will be considered. 0-2 years of experience in the environmental field in BC; University degree in Engineering (civil/environmental); Some Knowledge of provincial (BC Contaminated Sites Regulation, Hazardous Waste Regulation), and federal (CCME) guidelines for contaminated sites assessments; Physical ability to undertake field work assignments throughout BC; A motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment; Detail oriented, organized and self-motivated individual; Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as technical writing abilities; Access to a car at all times with a valid driver’s licence is required.

 

The salary range for this role is between $58,000 to $62,000. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location
