This role will be based in Mississauga, ON.

Your role within the team:

Perform structural analysis, seismic qualification and assessment, structural design, and ageing management.Prepare engineering design calculations for structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry elements as per the relevant CSA Standards and applicable codes and regulatory requirements.Analyze structural systems and elements as required using Analysis Software programs.Support engineers in the preparing design documents and compiling engineering packages.Develop conceptual design, preliminary design and detailed design.Prepare technical specification documents.Apply sound engineering principles to assigned engineering activities.Compliance with applicable QA procedures and being responsible for producing quality work.Delivery of all technical engineering deliverables/task within specified timelines and budgets.

The ideal candidate:

Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University with 4-7 years industry Design experience; Master's degree and above is an asset.Licensed, or eligible to register as Professional Engineer in- Training, in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada.Knowledge of Analysis software commonly used in Civil/Structural engineering such as ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, SSASI, ETABS, SAFE etc.Sound knowledge of Civil/Structural Engineering principles.Must have working knowledge of NBCC, CSA and other applicable industry codes and standards.Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget.Good oral and written communication skills is a minimum requirement.
