General Purpose:
This is a unique opportunity to assist the Corsair Customization (Corsair Custom Labs) team to deliver unique, exciting and creative hardware, tailored to the customer and offering a product that will not usually be available in the market. Whether it’s the latest Call of Duty controller, to a AAA game battlestation, you will assist the internal designs team in delivering these programs with the wider organization and external vendors. As a Junior Customization Program Manager at Corsair, you’ll work with an international, complex, multi-disciplinary team from design delivery to physical golden sample working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.Your projects will often span multiple offices and timezones all over the world. It will be your job to co-ordinate the team and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. A Customization Design Program Manager at Corsair is responsible for shepherding projects through the design process, by coordinating the work of Industrial Designers, product mangers and specialized factories. In this role, you will work cross-functionally and collaborate with managers, designers, and engineering teams to plan projects, define milestones, assign resources, assess risks, and help projects meet deadlines. As a Design Program Manager, you will also manage all project-related communications to team members, leaders, and other stakeholders. Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
Collaborate and support design team Director and leads (located in the US) in tracking and delivering programs between the ID Team and CMF, UX, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, connecting all groups and making sure inter-dependencies are understood and planned for. Identify team and project needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, asset management, and implement or drive required changes to make sure design team members are working at optimum efficiency. Collaborate with ID team leadership in key project decision-making, including requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, coordination of teams and approval processes. Manage project schedules from inception to completion, represent the team in critical meetings to track actions, milestones, and deliverables.Essential Skills and Experience:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experience with a focus on design or creative aspect. 2 years of experience in program or project management Experience managing industrial design, color/material/finish or creative projects. Good written and spoken EnglishPreferred qualifications:
2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience working in consumer electronics, electronic hardware with a high level of customization as well as running fundamental industrial design programs Experience with design tools, software and processes Knowledge of design, fashion and creative trends and iterative development processes.
