Description Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their team. In this role, the Junior Accountant will support the accounting department in managing daily accounting operations. Responsibilities include recording transactions, assisting in month-end close, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely work. Key Responsibilities + Accurately record financial transactions in the general ledger and ensure proper coding. + Assist in preparing and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. + Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. + Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries. + Help in maintaining organized financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies. + Assist in preparing periodic financial reports and analyses for review by senior accounting staff. + Provide support during internal and external audits as required. + Collaborate with the accounting team to identify and implement process improvements. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + Basic knowledge of U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) and familiarity with accounting software. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications + Internship experience or 1–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus. + Familiarity with financial systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP. + Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
