Description This client is a Technology Service Provider for the various school districts throughout Westchester and Rockland Counties. Currently they support the student and teacher technologies within 40+ school districts. In addition, they have a centralized support team that provides infrastructure, telecommunications, systems, and service desk support to their clients. Each district is comprised of a team of junior network specialist who contribute to the software and hardware troubleshooting of equipment which includes but is not limited to: Chromebooks, PCs, Windows Devices, Smart Boards, iPads, and various other classroom technologies. Having prior experience troubleshooting classroom technologies is a plus. This candidate will report to a Managed Information Technology team lead who supports the district and its staff members. In addition to having strong technical skills and foundational IT knowledge, candidates will need to have excellent communication and inter-personal skills. The environment will require this person to work well with end users of the school district as well as district executives such as the Director of Technology. This a 6 month contract to hire that sits onsite 5 days in Mahopac, NY. This person will eventually be a Network Specialist so they will have to want that career path. The following experience is strongly encouraged for this assignment: • Proficient in Windows software (Windows 10) • Support of virtual server environment • Knowledge of troubleshooting email related issues • Knowledge of workstation setup and installs. • Ability to install network operation systems and perform simple upgrades to the network • Strong Knowledge on troubleshooting desktop systems such as desktops and PCs • Knowledge of configuring and managing network-based user profiles (Active Directory or other Directory Service tools) • General network experience with printers/routers/adding users/grouping • Server Hardware configuration • Manage switch configuration and troubleshooting • LAN/WAN experience Skills windows, windows 7, office 365, desktop, troubleshooting, active directory Top Skills Details windows,windows 7,office 365,desktop,troubleshooting,active directory Additional Skills & Qualifications Certifications are not mandatory but nice to have. A+ and Net+ are most applicable. Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
