Job Description
As a Jr Materials Specialist, you will assist in creating and maintaining production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. You will monitor the flow of materials and components to production lines, ensuring availability to meet production schedules. You will serve as a "Water Spider" by ensuring that workstations are consistently stocked with necessary materials to minimize downtime. Collaboration with supervisors and production staff to adjust schedules and material flow to accommodate production changes is crucial. Clear and effective communication with team members, management, and other departments regarding production needs and timelines is essential. You will use computer systems to track production progress, input scheduling data, and generate reports. Additionally, you will support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and addressing inefficiencies in production scheduling and material flow processes.
Responsibilities

Essential Skills
+ Experience with BOM's and/or material movement/routing
+ Experience in manufacturing and production planning.
+ Knowledge of inventory management.
+ Proficiency with ERP systems and purchase orders.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Ability to identify and address inefficiencies in production scheduling and material flow processes.
Work Environment
This position is based in an office environment. It offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for growth in a rapidly growing company.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
