The JR. Cost Accountant will collaborate with the local Manufacturing Controller to manage costs, inventory, and key metrics at Dematic’s manufacturing plant. This role provides financial analysis, strategic support, and guidance to plant leadership, including the Plant Manager and Floor Supervisors.This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to support various functions as needed.

Tasks and Qualifications:This is what are you going to do: In partnership with the local Manufacturing Controller, handle costs, inventory, and metrics in Dematic’s manufacturing plant. Provide analysis, support, and strategic finance mentorship to the Plant Manager, Floor Supervisors, and other key site leadership.Build financials for the factory, including forecasts, review actuals monthly to forecast and plan, and support the annual budget process for that location.Calculate, review, and ensure accuracy in standard costs including reviews of purchase price variance and production variances.Support daily costing process and annual standard cost setting as the need arises.Prepare the upcoming workload for manufacturing site both backlog (booked work) and new business.Review all important labor data daily.Support the forecast of inventory in the plant.Calculate factory inventory reserves and evaluate the efficiency of reserves every quarter.Maintain and ensure compliance of all financial controls for the plant, including inventory management and cycle counts.Participate in reviews of pending bids for new project work along with project turnover meetings.Identify and drive process improvements in the business working with the plant manager.Ability to be flexible with tasks and support other functions as needed for special projects.Other tasks as assigned as the need arises.What Are We Looking For:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a concentration in Finance or Accounting is required.Exposure to standard cost is required.Ability to work independently and make decisions as required.Strong interpersonal skills including an ability to explain results to Management and make recommendations as vital.Proven understanding of SAP is preferred.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite of products and various ERP systems.
